I love how versatile Chamomile is.

We all know it’s beneficial to drink in the evening to help with sleep, but on the whole, it helps so many other things.

Here are some of the actions of this wonderful herb:

  • anti-inflammatory
  • antispasmodic (muscles)
  • carminative
  • antiseptic and wound-healing
  • analgesic
  • sedative
  • antiallergic
  • anticatarrhal (upper respiratory tract)
  • antimicrobial
  • antiulcerogenic (GIT)
  • bitter tonic
  • digestive
  • cholagogue.

Chamomile is widely used in gastrointestinal disorders including gingivitis, food allergies, sensitivities, anorexia, indigestion, catarrh, colic, colitis, diarrhoea, dyspepsia, gastritis, flatulence, enteritis, abdominal pain, IBS, nausea and ulceration.

It’s also used for Anxiety, insomnia and restlessness.

Beneficial for Asthma and hay fever, dysmenorrhea, travel sickness and nervous diarrhoea.

I love adding Chamomile to my client’s herbal mixtures especially those suffering with gut issues, Anxiety and Sleep issues because they’re all linked and Chamomile can help.
